Michael Dudley serves as the Corporate Controller for Weller Development Partners, where he spearheads all aspects of accounting, with a significant role in IT and HR operations. Michael has over 16 years of professional experience in accounting, including 13 years of specialization in real estate development accounting.
Before joining Weller Development Partners, Michael made a substantial impact as the Controller for Foulger-Pratt, where he oversaw corporate and real estate development accounting. In this capacity, he was responsible for quarterly reporting to the board of directors, managing a diverse portfolio spanning development, residential, and commercial property management, and using technology to automate and streamline accounting team responsibilities.
Michael played a pivotal role in forecasting future equity and debt requirements across the development portfolio. Under his expert guidance, Foulger-Pratt successfully completed real estate projects that exceeded 1.3 million square feet of office and industrial space, over 3,400 multifamily units, 165,000 square feet of retail space, and nearly 2,000 self-storage units.
During his tenure, he played a key role in the development and acquisition of over $2 billion in real estate, navigating through the complexities of over $1 billion in debt across 12 different lenders and nearly $900 million of equity. Michael’s fundraising acumen also shone through as he guided responsibilities in raising over $85 million in equity through CrowdStreet.
Prior to Foulger-Pratt, Michael was a staff accountant at StonebridgeCarras (now Stonebridge Associates) where he managed the full-cycle accounting responsibilities.
Prior to StonebridgeCarras, Michael worked in public accounting as an Advanced Staff Accountant at WatkinsMeegan (now part of CohnReznick) preparing compilations, reviews, audits, and various types of tax returns.
Michael earned his CPA license in 2012. He earned his Accounting Degree (2006) and MBA (2007) from Salisbury University.
