Baltimore Peninsula
Weller Development Partners was master developer for Chapter 1B of Baltimore Peninsula (formerly known as Port Covington), a waterfront community in South Baltimore that is undergoing an incredible transformation. The neighborhood spans 235 acres of land, with 2.5 miles of waterfront on the Middle Branch of the Patapsco River. Baltimore Peninsula offers amazing waterfront experiences, incredible visibility and unparalleled accessibility directly to I-95. The development plan includes up to 18 million square feet of residential, office, hotel, restaurant, entertainment, retail, athletic, incubator, cultural space, marinas, plus public parks and piers. More than 1.1 million square feet are currently under construction in Baltimore Peninsula.
The Weller Development team planned, designed, and executed all infrastructure for the five parcels under construction in Baltimore Peninsula, a newly created neighborhood in Baltimore, as well as an additional 10 parcels that will be pad-ready to support over two million in additional density. This project was funded by the issuance of TIF bonds from the city in December 2020.
